UN Goals

At ALG, we are committed to making a positive impact on the world. We are proud to contribute to all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals address the challenges we face including poverty, hunger, health and wellbeing, quality education, gender equality, water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace, justice and strong institutions. Through our innovative solutions and dedicated team, we strive to create a better future for all.

How we contribute to the SDGs

Here are some specific ways in which we contribute to the SDGs:

  • SDG 1: No Poverty: Our technology creates real long term employment both in the immediate location of its plants but also in the complex supply chains that can stretch across the world.

  • SDG 2: Zero Hunger: Our technology creates real quality food for both humans as well as animals with in the immediate location of the plant but also in the complex supply chains that can stretch across the world. This is achieved for example through turning human and animal sewerage into a high protein food for animals.

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing: technology turns different classifications of feed water into both drinking water, to international potable water standards, as well as agricultural standards typically from sources of water that are otherwise utterly useless .

  • SDG 4: Quality Education: Our technology creates real long term employment which increases the level of taxes paid which feeds into education and personal development.

  • SDG 5: Gender Equality: Our technology requires a range of staff from highly qualified engineers through to accountants and a range of skilled and semi-skilled workers which means real long term employment regardless of sex, race, colour or creed.

  • SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation: Our technology turns the negative of human and animal sewerage into a huge positive through converting it to a high protein animal foodstuff as well as organic fertiliser and of course clean water.

  • SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy: Our technology as well as other best in class technologies like solar power will create energy products that will not only power its plants but also produce surplus energy which can be delivered back into local and national electricity grids.

  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth: Our technology creates real immediate long term employment in the immediate location of its plants but also in the complex supply chains that can stretch across the world.

  • SDG 9: Our technology creates real immediate long term improvements to the infrastructure in the immediate location of its plants thorough its construction process which includes the production of low carbon power.

  • SDG 10: Our technology solves one of the most basic and fundamental of the global equalities which is access to clean safe drinking water. It does this without any need for Carbon intensive desalination technologies and in many cases treats water that is useless for any other usage.

  • SDG 11: Our technology can transform arid otherwise useless wasteland into a centre of long term employment through the treatment of brackish waste water and the production of animal feedstuffs and other organic produce such as vegetables and seafood.

  • SDG 12: Our technology converts human and animal waste into a high protein animal feedstuff as well as organic fertiliser, organic vegetables and seafood and in doing to converts a huge negative into a high positive.

  • SDG 13: Climate Action: Our technology treats water to international potable water standards as well as converting human and animal sewerage into high quality products whist capturing between 4 and 6 times more CO2 per square meter of plant that the endangered rainforests.

  • SDG 14: Life Below Water: Our technology often treating what is termed “brackish water” which is part fresh water and part sea water which not only does not damage wildlife but creates an ideal environment for the farming of organic seafood and in doing so it does not create toxic by-products such as brine and other toxic by-products.

  • SDG 15: Life on Land: Our technology can transform otherwise baron and essentially useless land into thriving commercially successful communities as well as retro-treating locations such as sewerage lagoons and transforming them into high quality water and animal foodstuff.

  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions: Our technology creates real long term employment often in very socially and economically challenging conditions which allows high standards to be set and maintained which can have significant positive effects not only on the location of its plants but also in the complex supply chains that can stretch across the world.

  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals: Our technology can bring into a deprived locations globally recognised construction, development, engineering and commercial partners both in the immediate location of its plants but also in the complex supply chains that can stretch across the world.
